Dr. Matthias Thommes (Quantachrome’s Director of Applied Science), in an invited lecturer at this event, he will present a 60 min tutorial lecture on Physical Adsorption Characterization on Friday, June 3rd. Dr. Thommes will also give an oral presentation on June 2nd, (co-authored by Katie Cychosz, Quantachrome Analytical Training and Research manager) on very recent research focusing on new insights in the understanding the adsorption of phase behavior of fluids in hierarchically structured materials and corresponding advances in characterization. Furthermore Dr. Thommes will be the chairman of the adsorbent characterization session on June 1st. In addition, Dr. Thommes and co-workers will co-author three additional poster presentations reflecting high level collaborations between Quantachrome and well-known international research institutions, including NIST, Gaithersburgh, USA, University of Leipzig (Germany), Rutgers University (USA).
